A solid education system is a major factor in the success or failure of any city. That’s why I’m passionate about lifting up our public schools and the students they serve
One of the foundations to a solid education is literacy. Research shows if a child is not reading at grade level by third grade the chances of catching up are very slim. Thanks to a new partnership between Tarrant NET and the Fort Worth ISD, we’re not going to let any more kids fall through the cracks.
Recently, Tarrant Net met with school officials to develop an unprecedented community-driven literacy movement.
According to the plan, churches from across Tarrant County will help first-graders “Read 2 Win.” I know Superintendent Walter Dansby is pleased with this opportunity, and so am I.
